Research Green Investing Now For Our Future World

I'm reading a book from Jack Uldrich called "Green Investing" which is about environmentally-friendly stocks on the market. I'm open to learn anything that is in the "go green" scheme of things. Yeah people say stocks are risky and the market is just all over the place, but mostly down. Well I say the best thing is to educate yourself about the market, and while you are at it, research some of the top 100 green stocks. Put them in your watch list and find out which ones are your top picks.

Before I go any further realize I am just sharing information from a book. I'm not your investment advisor or broker. My information is strickly for educational and sharing of information purposes. Whatever you do with the information is totally on you, and I'm not responsible for any decision you make about anything in your life. Although I must say if any of my information is very helpful, I would love to know about it and hear your story. It is always great to hear happy successful stories from sharing someting good that enhanced their life.

So now what does Jack Uldrich mean by green stocks anyway? First of all he distinguishing them in terms of "cleantech" and "greentech" companies. Jack states these companies are "seeking to generate energy from alternative energy sources, including solar power, wind, biofuels, and fuel cell technology." Then there are other companies who develop more "resource-efficient industrial processes that help conserve energy usage and/or reduce harmful environmental emissions, as well as engaged in more speculative renewable energy sources, such as wave power and geothermal energy."

WOW! Now that is a big mouthful to swallow. I can't say it ten times, or even one time without taking a deep breath along the way. It just goes to show how big such a feat of saving the planet really is. I am all for researching and investing in such companies who go above and beyond the future of saving our environment. They invest quite a bit to implement environmentally-friendly processes, reduce energy, and implement renewable energy sources. Greentech companies know that in the long run it is well worth the investment to help save our world we have taken advantage of for so way too long. So why don't you check out this great book as well and invest in saving our planet.

One big point Jack states on page 7 that I found extraordinary is "4,000 new cleantech patents were filed in 2006." That gives me great hope that companies are more serious about "green" energies than ever before. I love that for sure! Of course, as with all new growth industries there will be many that fail and some that succeed, but I feel progress really is moving forward now more than ever.

As you learn about "greentech" and "cleantech" companies make sure to do your homework studying them BEFORE investing. Jack introduces several giving you a source to start your research path into a more green investing portfolio. In his second chapter he talks about how a company receives the honorable "greentech" status, but more importantly, follow good business practices as well. Never assume a company is a greentech one without studying them much closer answering various business questions such as on page 13 and 14. Study chapter 2 carefully to help you understand much closer on how to analyze good greentech companies.
